Academic Journey

Energy materials researcher bridging the gap between fundamental science and applied energy technology.

Background

I am a PhD graduate in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Madras with expertise in the design, synthesis, and advanced characterization of functional materials for sustainable energy applications. My research has focused on developing high-performance materials for energy conversion and storage, particularly in photoelectrochemical (PEC) water splitting, halide and chalcogenide perovskites, optoelectronic materials, and next-generation battery technologies. Through my doctoral work, I developed a strong interdisciplinary foundation spanning electrochemistry, spectroscopy, materials chemistry, and device engineering.

My PhD research explored external stimuli-assisted photoelectrochemical water splitting using halide perovskites, with a particular emphasis on understanding and enhancing PEC performance under applied magnetic fields. In addition, I have extensive experience in the synthesis of inorganic-organic hybrid materials, transition metal complexes, and nanostructured functional materials, alongside expertise in advanced characterization techniques including XRD, Raman, UV-Vis, PL spectroscopy, XPS, EPR, impedance spectroscopy, and transient photovoltage measurements.

Currently, at OLA Electric, I work at the intersection of electrochemical research and data science, leveraging machine learning to accelerate the development of safer, high-performance, and longer-lasting lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles.

I am actively seeking postdoctoral opportunities in energy materials, electrochemistry, and advanced functional materials, with a strong interest in combining fundamental materials research with computational and data-driven approaches. My long-term goal is to contribute to the development of next-generation energy technologies spanning photovoltaics, hydrogen production, energy storage systems, and intelligent electrochemical devices through interdisciplinary and impactful research.
